Dansko

Dansko was conceived in 1990 when entrepreneur and equestrian Mandy Cabot travelled to Denmark (to buy a horse!) and fell in love with the uniquely comfortable Danish clogs being used as barn shoes. Mandy and her husband brought the clogs home to America “to share the comfort, confidence, and opportunity with other spirited women like [Mandy] who were headed somewhere too.” Decades later, Dansko shoes are known as some of the most comfortable and healthy shoes around, with many of their collections recognized with the APMA Seal of Acceptance. In 2012, Dansko was sold through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and became proudly 100% employee owned.
