Bronsino, by Denise Wilson

Denise Wilson's background is in the Fine Arts, having studied in Vancouver and Florence, Italy. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe and North America and occasionally resides in Peru. Art, design, travel, language and other cultures have always been a huge part of her life and continue to influence and inspire her work. In summer 2005, her business, Bronsino Designs for Living, was born.

The name Bronsino pays homage to her husband's family home in Lima, Peru (Calle Bronsino) which is named after the 16th century Florentine artist Agnolo Bronzino. The finely crafted handbags and accessories from the Bronsino collection are classically inspired works of art produced in very limited numbers. All items are handcrafted in Vancouver of the finest quality materials.

The current collection is named after places from Denise’s travels. "Bronsino Recycled" was introduced for Fall 2006 and focuses exclusively on recycled and reclaimed leathers. Denise’s work has been featured in Fashion Magazine, the Georgia Straight, Vein Magazine, Real Weddings, Vancouver Lifestyle Magazine, Where and Shared Vision Magazine.

Neosens

Neosens is one of Europe’s new and emerging fashion brands.  Neosens was launched in 2005 with a new concept: creating fashion footwear that is comfortable, unique and handcrafted.  Neosens is based in the La Rioja region of Spain, a region that is famous for its wines and for being the cradle of the modern Spanish language.  

Each pair of Neosens is made by hand by Spanish footwear artisans; these artisans give a unique character to every shoe to personalize each pair for you!  The design philosophy used for every collection is mimicking the beauty of nature by giving the shoes a distressed, handmade, and natural look.

Chie Mihara

Chie Mihara was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 1968, of Japanese parents. She lived in Japan from age 18 to 22.  After graduation Mihara worked for two years as an assistant for the fashion designer Junko Koshino, then moved to New York. It was there that she studied accessories design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, mainly shoes and handbags. She then interned at Eneslow orthopedic shoe company where she learned about the foot and adapting to it's unique proportions. After Mihara left Eneslow she spent two years as the shoes and handbag designer for Sam & Libby. In December 2001 at the age of 33 Chie Mihara launched her very own line which is now recognized worldwide. Imported by Footloose from Spain. Available as seen.

Inspired by nature while being comfortable and trendy, each seasons collection is designed and developed in Spain. The majority of the materials, including leather, textiles, and soles are made in Spain as well. All El Naturalista’s are dyed with natural colours, as well as using recycled PU or rubber.
